The
Wheatgrass Grower
is a small nursery that specializes in growing wheatgrass. We sell naturally-grown
wheatgrass, cut and packaged or by the tray, directly to consumers and retail
establishments.
Delivery is available only to local retailers in the Clarks Summit area of
Pennsylvania. Others may call to place an order and make an appointment
for pickup. Our appointment hours are Monday through Thursday, 10am to
3pm. We are closed for the summer except for planned special events.
Please call prior to Memorial Day to plan your special summer event. We
are also closed from mid-December to mid-January for the holiday season.
We use no synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or
fertilizers. Our gardening is done using nature's finest ingredients in a
state-of-the-art, indoor, climate-controlled environment for consistent, high-quality grass!
 Scientifically, wheatgrass has received attention as a wound healer and in
disease prevention and is very high in
antioxidants.
It's use is even recognized by professional health organizations as a "super
food" in
CANCER diets.
Chlorophyll, a main constituent of wheatgrass, supports an oxygen-rich
environment for body tissues and is a powerful detoxification aid, especially
when taken FRESH.
Wheatgrass
juice may be taken straight or juiced along with other nutritious foods to
create a more palatable beverage.
THE WHEATGRASS GROWER
is available as an educational consultant on growing wheatgrass and its many
uses, from nutritional supplement to wedding display. While our business has
always been driven by the health needs of our clients, we do welcome creative
requests from florists and caterers who would like to incorporate wheatgrass
displays into their special events. We have provided grass trays for weddings, sports
events, and culinary, health, and environmental fundraisers. We have also
seen it
used beautifully at spas and flower shows. Orders may be custom-grown to clients'
specifications. Please call for more information. Discount pricing available on
orders of 10 or more trays.
Sorry, we do not ship live wheatgrass trays.
Live wheatgrass trays are only available for pickup.
Our wheatgrass
takes 10 days to grow from seed to harvest (allow
7 days for floral needs).
